Adventure Around Auckland

Today, I needed to see something new. I decided to go to Mount Eden. The highest natural structure in Auckland! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Eden

There was a huge crater at the top, and the views were great from every direction!

After that, on the way home I stopped in the center of Auckland on the water for a bit!

First Day of entertaining myself

Monday... the day everyone dreads. I Wasn't!

I went down to Browns Bay for the morning, and it was a little cloudy. that didn't stop me from playing with the go Pro!

I decided I hadn't had enough of the beach that afternoon, and went down a second time! This time I took the opportunity to run there and back. This time the weather was better!

Getting Settled

I got a taste of my first New Zealand beach! The water was incredibly clear and warm!

We also had a BBQ, and got some awesome go pro footage in the water!

Arrival

Sooo.... the sleeping this didnt work out.

We went to the beautiful island of Waiheke ( http://www.waiheke.co.nz/ ) for some sight seeing and wine tasting.

We stopped at 4 different winerys and they all had a very unique charm.

To try to combat the jetlag (and due to excitement) I made it till 9PM local time.

Leaving Logan Airport was pretty easy considering the 24 degree weather and the snow coming down.

My Lovely family accompanied me to the airport! 

My favorite sight from the airplane ride was the Rocky Mountains. 

In Los Angeles International, the weather was much better almost 80 degrees in the sun! 

This was my last United States selfie. for now!

Below, is my very first international selfie, after stepping off the plane in Tahiti.

(Yes, it was even warmer and more humid) 

Despite the humidity and the small airport, we were greeted by a band and a nice sign! I also got the first stamp in my passport.

After that, we were greeted by a morning view of New Zealand! My first real look at the country. There was definitely something magical and unknown about New Zelaland.

After almost 28 hours of travel, I was ready to be on the ground and asleep.
